I took this picture on 16th st. in San Francisco. On a 163-step stairway I waited till it was dark because there wouldn't be that many people since it attracts a lot of tourists, my parents helped me by using flash lights from their cell phones to help me get to see the details of the steps. That's why on the sides it looks dark but in the middle you get to see the colors and shapes of the mosaics and the spiral figure. The reason I chose this picture is because the tiles are colorful and interesting.
